Founder of Grá Home Care
Meet the Founder

Laura O’Donovan, Founder & Caregiver

Laura started her career in a residential nursing home in Ireland, caring for people living with every form of dementia. That experience lit a fire. She went on to train in elderly care, fall prevention, and Alzheimer’s care before moving into the emergency department of a university hospital, where she cared for people from all walks of life in every kind of situation.

From there, Laura moved into the funeral home industry. Even while caring for the deceased, her real passion was for the families: organising what needed to be done, taking stress and worry off their plates during the hardest time of their lives. It was something she was good at and something she genuinely loved doing.

After moving to Massachusetts, Laura worked with a home care company caring for dementia clients and people who needed overnight support in their own homes. Opening her own company had always been the goal, and now based on the South Shore, Grá Home Care is that goal brought to life.
